Membership

Membership of the Association

Any registered organization or affiliated educational institution of India or abroad or an adult individual of any educational and professional background and any nationality may become a member of this association, which could be an annual and life membership, provided that the member has a strong desire to contribute in the field of adolescent & youth health. A member shall have to pay a non-refundable registration fee for membership as well as a non-refundable annual subscription as decided by the association from time to time.

State Chapter Membership

Wherever there are sufficient members in a state, a state chapter of the association may be formed. The central body of the association would approve on forming of the state association. The state association shall also have its committee and account. However, there will be no separate constitution or bylaws for the State Chapter. The rules and regulations framed by the central body to govern the activities of the central body shall be applied for the State Chapters.The executive body elected by the members needs to be approved by the central body.

Procedure to Become a Member

Application form for registration as a member should be downloaded from the website of the Indian Association for Adolescent Heath and the ink-signed copies of the application along with a D/D or proof of transfer of amount to the Association should reach the Head office of the association in New Delhi. The head office would then issue the membership number and certificate and attach the member to the state chapter wherever there is a state chapter exists or whenever formed.

Publication

The Association has an official quarterly journal with an ISSN number titled – Indian Journal for Youth and Adolescent Health. The journal is peer reviewed, and indexed with many national and international bodies. A member of the association shall be eligible for a concession or waiver of fee for publishing any paper in the journal. There is no limit toseveralpublications of authored and co-authored articles in this journal by a member.

This association provides a platform forsocial service, academic work, and networking in the field of adolescent & youth health. The member gets the right to vote to select the executive body and be part of the executive body.
